Welcome to the Hooked on Evidence Website!
The APTA Hooked on Evidence Website represents a "grassroots" effort to develop a database containing current research evidence on the effectiveness of physical therapy interventions. The Hooked on Evidence project was motivated by a concern that clinicians lacked access to the knowledge available from current research, thus hindering evidence-based practice. The website has the following objectives:

- Allow members to search a database of article extractions relevant to the field of physical therapy to build support for evidence-based practice
- Allow members to contribute extractions of the peer-reviewed literature to the database
- List useful web resources and other information consistent with evidence-based practice
- Allow members to use clinical scenarios to search the database for relevant article extractions
The contents of the site provide learning tools to foster evidence based practice in physical therapy, tutorial information on the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, and an online input form to allow APTA members to input article extractions on various topics in physical therapy. The website was planned and built by APTA members and the contributions of many are gratefully acknowledged.
